02How VOXEPAY works

VOXEPAY LLC is a US merchant services company. We are not a bank and we are not the payment processor. We help businesses choose, apply for and set up the right merchant account, gateway and equipment, and we support them afterwards.

Your merchant account is issued by an acquiring bank and payment processor under their own merchant agreement. Your card sales are settled by them directly into your business bank account — VOXEPAY never holds your funds.

03You know your processor before you apply

Before your application is submitted, we tell you in writing the name of the processor and acquiring bank that will issue your account, and you receive their merchant agreement to read before you sign. You can verify that relationship with them directly.

Questions such as reserves, holds or account reviews are governed by that agreement, and we'll explain any of it in plain English before you sign.

04Contracts and cancellation

• No early termination fee on our standard merchant accounts.
• No year-to-year term — standard accounts are not locked into a multi-year contract.
• You receive the complete fee schedule in writing before you sign — every rate and monthly fee.
• Equipment is quoted separately and you are told up front whether it is purchased or provided.

05Chargebacks — who pays

A chargeback is a customer's dispute through their bank. Under every merchant agreement, the merchant is responsible for chargebacks on their own sales — that is true with any processor.

Our chargeback protection gives you dispute alerts: an early warning that lets you refund the customer before a dispute becomes a chargeback. It does not take on chargeback liability, and it doesn't catch every dispute — we're clear about that up front. See chargeback protection.

06How we protect your data

• We never store full card numbers. Card data goes only through the payment gateway or processor.
• Sensitive application fields are encrypted at rest, and uploaded documents are stored outside the public website.
• Application information is shared only with the processor and acquiring bank handling your application, and the providers needed to deliver our service.
• We keep application records for 3 to 5 years for legal and record-keeping purposes, then delete them.
• We never sell personal information. See our Privacy Policy.

07Business funding

Business funding, such as merchant cash advances, is offered separately through funding partners under its own agreement. It is never a condition of opening a merchant account, and we recommend reviewing its terms on their own.
