The role
You advise the owner on the decisions that matter most in a young ISO: which processors and sponsor banks to add, how to price profitably, how to manage risk and reserves, and how to scale sales without losing control.
What you will do
- A monthly advisory call plus ad-hoc questions
- Review pricing, processor agreements and the agent program
- Introductions to processors, sponsor banks or senior people where it makes sense
You have
- 10+ years in payments; ideally you have run or owned an ISO, or held a senior role at a processor or acquirer
- Deep knowledge of interchange, residual economics, underwriting and risk
- No conflict of interest with competing ISOs (we will ask)
Compensation
- Advisory equity with vesting (2–4 years, 1-year cliff), set in a written advisor agreement
How it works
- Independent contractor (1099), remote, anywhere in the US.
- Pay is performance-based. Nothing is guaranteed — what you earn depends on results.
- Everything is in a written agreement: confidentiality, non-solicitation of our merchants and partners, and (where equity is offered) vesting with a 1-year cliff.
